Songs

I'd have to say this is probably the earliest I've ever posted...lol...which is saying much considering its about 11am...lol. Anyway id just like to quickly mention a welcome home to sam (kim's brother who just returned from a mission in Brazil). Welcome Home! I was trying to think of something to post about while i was listening to some music and trying to get some of my good (though ancient) music on my new computer. so i thought for this post id make it into kind of a survey and see some of the types of music that other people like to listen to. and if anybody really wants to, i was wondering what everybody would pick as their top 5 slow songs of all time. to start off ill just name a few songs that i like and listen to often. ive always been a fan of the group named yellowcard, although they havent made any really good albums in several years. i like almost any kind of rock (but not too hard rock), although lately id have to say my favorite song is definitely "stars" by switchfoot, although some classic songs are "work" by jimmy eat world, "so long, astoria" by the ataris, and "takeoffs and landings" also by the ataris. i like country from time to time, ill occasionally listen to a song on the radio, and i have a few country songs, but not quite the same as my "rock" colleciton. for my top 5 slows songs, thats quite a bit tougher! its hard to rank them...so ill just go in a group of 5. id say "when you say nothing at all" by alison krauss, "you" by switchfoot, "we danced" by brad paisley, "love me tender" by norah jones, and since i cant really think of a 5th song...ill say that the 5th song doesnt matter...any slow song is great...as long as your with that "someone!"

I'm not as up on new songs as I used to be, so it's tough to think of popular songs. I heard that song, If You Don't Know Me By Now, playing today while I was on hold on the phone, and I really like it. I like that Work song I've heard you guys playing. I used to like one that had a lot of piano in it. Adam found it and downloaded it a long time ago, but I can't remember the title. I guess that's it for what I can remember of songs just at the moment....

ive got to say everybdoy has some excellent music choices...ironically ive actually have "she thinks my tractors sexy"! me and nick started singing that one one time to mess with marco, since he HATES country! we both laughed and laughed! oh dear though...hmmm...who is my special someone...well thats easy, id have to say that my mom is the most special person to me! but if ur talking the sepcial "someone" to slow dance with...thats a different story...lol

Adam, if you're tying to get on my good side, you're succeeding wonderfully! Soooo sweet!

And you and Kim are going to have to hold it down here on the blog, so as not to steam up the screen! :)

okay here are some of mine...although some of mine are older, too. for slow songs i like (in random order) richard marx "right here waiting for you", bryan adams "everything i do, i do it for you", sara evan, "no place that far", "always", by bon jovi, "i can love you like that", john michael montgomery. i think there might be other ones i like as good as these or better, but these are the ones that came to mind. as far as music goes, i like any kind...i go more on the song than the type of music. (although i LOVE oldies and doowop!)

It's hard for me to think of the songs, but I'll hear something playing and I'll say, "Oh, I like that one...and that one..." but it's just hard for me to remember them without hearing them, if that makes sense.

And I'm just kidding with you guys, too - Adam and Kim. You're a lot of fun.

haha...i know mom...im just giving u a hard time. thats cool kristen, i remember when i was veyr young (like 7 or 8) some of those songs being popular, and for some reason i can clearly remember that michael montgomery song "i can love u like that." haha...although i do have to disagree with u on the oldies...oldies are like red meat...take it sparingly!

oh come on! think about classics like "pretty woman", "going to the chapel", "under the boardwalk" "you've lost that lovin' feeling" "my girl", i could go on! where would we be without classics like that?

adam, this is cory...you're pulling out all the stops, but your mom is seeing right through you. as for music, you're wrong about the oldies. i like all kinds, but oldies rule! i would tell you my slow songs, but i'm not good with song names.
