The real reason I'm posting is just to give a little job news. I recently got my first real job -- as a tutor! Yeah, I'm pretty sure that must come as a shock to a lot of people who know me...lol. I'm tutoring my dad's boss's daughter in Geometry, of the Euclidian variety that is. It's kidna interesting and brings back disturbing childhood memories of those long gone days. Seriously though, it is pretty intereting. After taking AP Calculus, Geometry and Algebra really aren't intimidating at all. Such math classes used to challenge me, but now that's just run of the mill in AP Cal. I do wonder though, will I ever find AP Cal as easy as I find Geometry and Algebra now?
Almost a Compliment

way to go adam. i think you would be a GREAT math tutor. i would love to have you teach me a thing or two. =) how much do you make? and is it just her that you are tutoring or are there others?
i forgot about the feedback part...most of the time i don't have time to spend a long time on the blogs, so i have to be pretty quick while checking things. but i love the title "flavor of the day". i think picking the songs is neat too, but since i don't really know many of the songs it doesn't mean as much for me to "choose" since i don't know what i'm choosing! =) as for the content/presentation concept, i think content is more important; however, if you have both, that's ideal. i'd rather have good content on a "boring" site than "boring" content on a well-presented site. but i think you have a good combination...just my thoughts. you're getting better & better about this web page stuff. you seem to have a knack for it!
Thanks Kristen, I'm glad you like the additions I've made to the blog. Each day I'm trying to learn a little bit more!
As far as the math tutor is concernced, I make $20 an hour and I only tutor that one girl. It's really awesome to finally have a job! Even if I work a few hours a week, I'm not complaining at all!
Adam, you really are doing well with this web site stuff! About your blog, I pretty much agree with Kristen's comments. I like what you're doing with the one for Dad's work, too. And I think you will be a great tutor!
I really liked the soccer video!
Thanks guys! I've really enjoyed learning all this website stuff. It can be complex at times, but it's very rewarding to finally figure out a tough section of code! Check out this really cool effect I did for dad's website here.
If that link doesnt work, go to www.rchaynes.com/template.html
check out the left sidebar!
Honestly, I don't like any pop-up windows when I go to a site.
I think that most people will not take time to view the content for long if the presentation is too bad. But for blogs, the content is definately more important.
Hey, I use sitesled.com to host my free websites. It rocks over geocities. Sitesled has NO ads.
All the cool stuff you've done to your blog is interesting and fun to look at, but I go more for content and being able to get to the content quickly without a lot of distractions. Adrian made some good points.
I see you use sitesled now. How do you like it?
After using SiteSled, I've decided that GeoCities is actually the bane of web development. Sitesled is a lot nicer, thanks for the tip! Oh yeah, I never got to really check around, but is there a bandwidth upload limit from SiteSled?
Oh yeah, as far as my blog is concerned, I'm working on some updates. Does anybody know how to dynamically change the embed src attribute from say, a form button or link? If anyone has any ideas, especially Shawn, I'd really like the help.
yeah, i'm totally drawing a blank...sorry! =) haha!
